SFLIG Volunteers
The SFLIG Volunteer and Internship program is truly dedicated to changing the lives of children, especially girls from orphanages and struggling families. Additionally, we provide support to single mothers who may be facing various challenges. Our aim is to make a positive difference in the lives of those who come from difficult backgrounds by offering help in areas such as school enrollment, housing, medical care, and providing start-up capital for single mothers. Through our efforts, we strive to reduce poverty and promote community growth while supporting the United Nations’ first Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As a volunteer you can deeply impact peoples lives, and also your own.

Our organization is passionate about volunteering and we invite individuals with skills, knowledge, and a desire to make a difference to join us. We take pride in being a part of their journey of self-discovery, where the rewards are both fulfilling and unforgettable.
We offer volunteer opportunities in Education, Health, Economic Empowerment, Mentorship, and Needy Support. These categories give volunteers numerous chances to experience the challenges faced by less privileged individuals in Ghana. More importantly, it allows them to have a positive impact on the lives of those they meet, while also introducing them to our warm hospitality and rich culture.
As an individual, I may not be able to change the world, but I can certainly make a significant improvement in someone’s life. By joining hands with us, we can make a positive impact and create a safer world for humanity, especially for children and women.

Back to School
It's heartbreaking to know that in Ghana, many children are struggling to attend school due to financial difficulties. While education up to the senior high level is free, families often find it challenging to provide necessary supplies like stationery, uniforms, shoes, and even meals for their children.

What Volunteers Say
Ghana, all in all, is an amazing country. Loads of friendly faces always smiling, and the people behind those smiles are always wanting to help. The city of Kumasi, with a population close to 2 million, is something I like to refer to as a city that never sleeps. It's a busy place filled with tro tro's and taxis, that takes the idea of traffic to a whole new level.

VOLUNTEERUnforgettable! I have no idea where to begin. My time spent in Ghana was such an indescribable experience. I absolutely feel in love with Ghana, it’s culture and it’s people!
During my stay in Ghana I spent most mornings helping in the labour ward at the local hospital.

VOLUNTEERAfricans are known of their hospitality and Ghanaians make no exception to this. Hospitality is the first thing you notice, when you arrive to Ghana.
Talking about hospitality easily turns to a discussion about food. I think that Ghanaian food is very good, although sometimes it might be a bit spicy.

VOLUNTEERGhana is a very special place! The people are generous, hospitable, open-hearted, and helpful. It's been called the "Gateway to Africa" and I really think that is really true. I had never traveled to any African country before, but now I definitely have the desire to go back to Ghana and visit other countries, too. Working with the children at the school and the orphanage was a very wonderful experience.
